COW POWER SALE | COW POWER DONORS < BACK TO HOME
  < EMAIL US

Since I am not getting any younger and since I really want to concentrate on our donor females, I have decided to sell the remainder of our bred females. I want to get to the point that I only have donors to take care of. If you know anyone that wants to calve out my recip cows, give me a call!!! In my attempt to decrease my herd size over the last few years I did not take into account how many recips I would be babysitting. I would never sell these females if it weren't so important to me to keep my herd numbers workable. It's not as easy as it was twenty years ago to manage a larger number of cows!

I have priced the females to sell! I am not hard to work with but I will stand firm on almost all of them unless you would like to purchase as a package. I would like an opportunity to purchase any of their offspring next spring or have you consign any of your calves to our Labor Day sale. Any calves that are consigned out of cows that you have purchased will pay 5% less commission.

All of the cows are current on vaccinations. Registration papers are available if you are interested. Cows have been ultrasounded and estimated to be bred to the bull that is listed. This is NOT an absolute but if they do NOT calve to that bull they are bred to Gigolo Joe.

Feel free to call for more information or schedule an appointment to look at the cows. I am almost always around and I would love to give you a tour even if you are just looking for one great cow!

Sincerely,

Juli Nelson

22U: Simmental 1/2 blood

Service Sire: BOARDWALK

22U: Sired by 3C Macho and out of a purebred Angus female. This 2008 half blood female is a beauty that stands out in the pasture. She is the epitomy of maternal with her long sleek front, soft bone structure, deep rib and BEAUTIFULLY PERFECT udder! I don't know where you would go to fine another one with as much style as either a donor or pasture candy. Bred to Boardwalk for a January 31 calf. Would you like that even better if I told you it was a heifer? Y-U-M-M-Y!

18 S Cow Family: Mona Lisa

18X

Selling the last females from our great donor Mona Lisa! These maternal
females are the money makers your are looking for.

18S: A 2006 daughter of Big Improvement out of Mona Lisa. This cow is the ONLY direct daughter of Mona Lisa left in our herd. All of the pictures on this page are of her offspring. 418 W: Maine (3/4)

418

418W: Sometimes it just hurts to let a female leave the farm. This cow
is going to kill me. Her mother was a prolific money machine and I kept
this female because I knew she would prove herself as a maternal
marvel. This Grizzly female {pictured right) is her FIRST calf. She is the ONLY heifer I am keeping! This 2009 cow, bred to Predator for
a March 28 calf, is a super milking, deep ribbed and ultra angular female. But with all of the "cattle lingo" aside ... l just have to say
that she is wicked good all the way around. It's not always the picture perfect show ponies that make the best cows. Sometimes it's
the females like this young girl. Just keep me in mind when she raises the next great Maine sire! This industry is HUNGRY for one and
she is set up to make that baby!

The 86 Cow Family

86T

I don't even know where to start here ... this has been one of the best
cow families we have ever had. It all started with a commercial Angus
cow that we called "Big Cow". We kept several females out of her that
were the heart of our herd. They were super-performance type with
show ring power. This is the last of the line so don't miss this opportunity.
86T:PICTURED ABOVE. This 2007 MaineTainer female out of Gigolo Joe and an own daughter of"BIG COW" is what most people dream to run in their pastures. She is moderate, hairy, maternal, has great epd's and just dead sexy. She is bred to Unstoppable for a February 9, 2012 calf. Check out her daughter, pictured on next page, who is also selling!!
$3000.

88T: A 2007 MaineTainer and a great Grand-daughter of "BIG COW" out of Gigolo Joe and a Sonny daughter. Pictured is her Smooth Sailing daughter that sold on last years Labor Day Sale. She is bred to Bojo for a February 16 calf. I am really excited to see this one!
$2750

86R: A 2005 MaineTainer out of FlashBack and an own daughter of "BIG COW". Maternal sister to 86T. This cow has been prolific and is also packed with milk, has great numbers and a great maternal look. She is bred to Predator for a March 5, 2012 calf.
$2750

86X: A 2010 MaineTainer out of Captain Morgan and 86T. This
fancy smoke is hairy, deep, has tons of CORRECT bone and a load
of style. She is bred to Nelson 26T2 for a March 30 calf. As an
added benefit, she is exceptionally quiet! I think this female has a
bright future! ! $2250

826U: Maine (3 / 4)

826U

826U: Sired by Hotline and out of one of our great producing Blackstone dams that was a high seller several years ago. This 2008 female had a great show career and packs a whopping set of epd's! She has
a beautiful udder and is incredibly sound. I stepped out a bit on this one and did a little "line breeding". At the time I never intended
to sell her. I am really excited about t his ca lf! It worked great for Mike Hartman so why not give it a try. I think that a ca lf out of
Nelson 26T2 will be something to watch for!
$2750

101X: Hereford Crossbred

Maternal sibling sired by Heat Wave.

1O1X: Yeah, giving up this heifer almost makes me want to just quit the business! This is an OWN daughter of the
Hereford cow that raised all of the great ones for us. She is PERFECTLY hereford marked and sired by Carpe Diem.
She is bred to Gigolo Joe for an April 27 calf. Believe me ... if she was calving earlier she wouldn't leave here for
ANY amount of money. She is truly a breeding piece that is destined to make her owner some cash. $2500.

Maternal siblings all sired by Heat Wave.

2W: MaineTainer
2W: This 2009 female was purchased from Gidget Funk at the American
Royal. She is out of Gigolo Joe and a commercial female that she purchased from Tracy Goretska. She raised a Rocky Balboa heifer that would have been on our fall pasture sale if she had not been
"ear" challenged ... darn cold Iowa winter!! This cow is bred to Indian Outlaw for a January 28 calf. You talk about COLOR
opportunity! WOW!
$2500

831 U Cow Family

Calf Pictured: 831U X Monopoly

831U: Unregistered Angus (Sitz Tradition X Fullback). This 2008 moderate framed female boasts an AWESOME udder and super
hair. You would never pick her as the club calf producing machine when you see her in the pasture but she packs a genetic whollup!
The Monopoly calf pictured above was one of the high selling females on our Labor Day sale this year. She is carrying a Predator
and is due March 3, 2012.
$4500

831X: 2010 MaineTainer. Si red by Gigolo Joe and out of 831U (above) I believe that she will have even more punch than her
