I have to say that I deeply regret not having every calf pictured this year. This is the best set of calves
we have ever offered! Chuck Sandvold brought us a deep set of show steers and Al Bruhn brought
a set of show/replacement heifers, mostly MaineTainers, that would knock your socks off.
Then last night the McDermott’s showed up with two fabulous Shorthorn heifers and two steers!
This sale has something to fit everyone’s needs. I just hope that people won’t miss the calves that
are not pictured because they will be missing some calves destined to be champions!!

This heifer’s mother is a Cornerstone Dam for the Maine Breed. This heifer will get you noticed in the show ring and she will be a momma cow deluxe. Heifer 18T2	3/12	DCC The Man	Draft Pick	This is a purebred maine ET heifer. This mating has done great things for us. We used a full brother as our herd sire and we have a full sister in our cow herd that is just a gorgeous cow. Steer 7T3	3/24	Hairy Bear	Payback	Nothing against Mark Sneed, but this picture doesn’t do justice for this calf! This is truly a big time show steer prospect. He was on a marginal recip so he is a little greener than some of the calves, but you don’t want to miss this guy. Perfect bone, you can’t make one any sounder, great hair, great foot, you name it, he has it. (Just kidding Mark!) Heifer 22T2	4/13	Sun Seeker	Phillip Polled Limited	Here is the heifer that wins the Miss Congeniality award in this year’s pageant. She has been the pasture sweetheart from the day she was born. She got up and walked up to get scratched before she bothered to suck! She is a barn pet and on top of that she is pretty darn good. We know she has a little front but don’t hold that against her. She is super wide and big boned and hipped and has gorgeous hair topped off with a little bling. If you have a little girl that needs a babysitter and also wants to bring home some purple, this is your heifer.	TH FREE

Steer 143	3/11	Heat Wave	Simmental x Angus	Every year Chuck raises a great one. We have already had several people through the pasture and this steer is everyone’s favorite. We can’t figure out how we would change this steer. He has the biggest hip in the steer pen, he is the right frame size, solid black, massive bone, all four feet point the right direction and to top it off he is the best haired steer. Steer 031	3/18	Paddy O'Malley	Simmental x Angus	This steer is lit up like a Christmas tree! We know some of you don’t like white on your steers, but it can be an advantage. It will get you noticed in the show ring. Now, when you get noticed in the show ring, you want to be leading something that is worth noticing! This steer is worth noticing. Super stout, super sound, easy feeding. His color will probably cost him $500 but that will be to your advantage if you own him. If you don’t mind scrubbing some white hair you will want to see this steer.	N/A

Steer 140	3/19	Paddy O'Malley	Simmental x Angus	Now that Chuck’s steers have been here a few days we are getting to know them a little bit. This steer is the one that nobody sees. It is like he is a ghost. We know this is our sale, but just bear with us a little while and listen up on this steer. Brad says this is the best steer in the pen. Everyone picks out the 143 steer right away, but this steer is the real deal. He is not as far along as some of the steers in terms of condition, but you just can’t find a hole when you sit back and analyze this steer. When you are shopping for a steer, you have to ask yourself what the steer will look like next summer. It is not about TODAY. It is about what is to come. This steer is all about what is to come. Steer 107	3/19	Heat Wave	Simmental x Angus	The 031 steer is lit up like a Christmas tree, this one is neon. For some reason these colored steers stand out. This one doesn’t have as much white as 031, but his color is really unique. You well know that Heat Wave can paint one up - this one is a work of art. Another thing about these Sandvold steers is the incredible soundness across the board. This steer is super sound, pretty fronted and neon - how can you beat that? When you get here we know you will see this steer because you can’t miss him, but be sure to look at more than the color - he is really good.	N/A

Heifer 35	3/12	Pimp'n	N/A	R&W. This red and white heifer will crawl into your pocket and beg you to take her home. She’s a “punkin’ “ in a great show heifer package. Her style and flashy color make her a babe-magnet. She’s going to be a great show heifer with lots of future as a cow!	NT



Steer 36	4/5	Pimp'n	N/a	Red. I renamed this steer “Thumbtack” for the McDermott’s. He’s not the sharpest one in the box when it comes to brains as it took him at least a half-dozen licks on the hotwire after her arrived at Club Calf Paradise before he decided not to play with it anymore. He is solid cherry red, packed with bone and probably one of the best younger steers I’ve seen. To top it off he’s got a great personality. This steer will be a lot of fun in the show ring and out. Steer 37	4/8	Mama's Bay	N/A	R&W. his steer is a blast of color with his neon red and white coat. He is really cool fronted with a big foot, wide top and great tush! If you are looking for a shorthorn steer with some future this is your guy.	N/A



Heifer 38	3/15	Pimp'n	N/A	Roan. Rex told be these calves were green but he didn’t tell me how really sound and fancy they were! This heifer is a babe and has all the ear marks of a great show heifer.
